About

Hi there! I’m a computational materials scientist and an Adolf Martens Fellow at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin, where I work with Prof. Janine George. Right now I’m using density functional theory and machine learning (ML) to synthesize mixed-metal oxide nanoparticles for visible-light photocatalysis, together with Dr. Bastian Rühle and BAM’s MINERVA self-driving lab. Before BAM, I did my PhD in Dr. Alejandro Strachan’s lab at Purdue University, where I built automated density functional theory workflows and ML models to discover MXenes, layered ceramics, and high-entropy carbides. Outside of research, I enjoy reading, cooking, playing cello, and getting out into nature.
